Perinatal crises

Perinatal crisis can take many forms: perinatal depression, postpartum anxiety, perinatal OCD, birth-related trauma, pregnancy loss, or the loss of a child. Each of these is real, each deserves care — and each can improve when the person experiencing it receives the right support.

Perinatal crises often appear where we least expect them: in people who "have it all," in parents who planned carefully, in women with strong support networks. They don't discriminate. If you recognize symptoms that worry you or the people close to you — reaching out for help is an act of self-care, not failure.
