Relationships are an area where familiar patterns tend to repeat — sometimes ones we wouldn't consciously choose. Difficulty with closeness, fear of rejection, controlling behavior, avoidance, or falling into very intense relationships: each of these patterns has its roots, and all of them can be understood.
